I am a PhD student in the field of genetics and type 2 diabetes research at the German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbruecke. I recieved my bachelor degree in Medical Science from the Univesity of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. My undergraduate degree with completed with first-class Honours in Immunology and Microbiology from UNSW. My topic was B cell regulation in an animal model of Type 1 diabetes, and the work of my thesis was carried out at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Sydney. I performed one year also working as a research assistant in the department of Diabetes and Obesity at the Garvan before commencing my doctoral studies in Germany. I currently reside in Berlin and am both a registered student of Potsdam University and an associate member of the Humboldt Graduate School in the program Hormonal Regulation of Energy Metabolism, Body Weight and Growth. I hope to continue my career as a researcher in the fields of endocrinology, metabolism and immunology.
